The world’s dynamic only do two things: Drown the weak and uplift the strong.
Understanding the dynamic in persuasive writing is very important to give strong energy to your writing.
Dynamic can simply be summarized as “what connect one thing into another.” It is a pattern of the network that needs to be understood by any writer.
To understand the dynamic, you must look at things from the inside. You blend yourself into the network and swim within it. From the inside, only then you can see and feel the dynamic because you are affected from one angle or the other.
Without swimming inside the dynamic, your writing will become the third person’s write. The best you can write is “the preview”. Being a preview writer, your persuasive writing is limited. The energy is low. Therefore you are almost wasting your time without knowing it.
Note: Most writers wrote from the outside. They are either asking others to write for them or using other’s materials. On the surface, they look professional. However the problem comes when they come up with their next writing. The writing style change dramatically. They even show total inconsistency.
Tips: Knowing this secret alone will make you simply stand taller than others.
Question: How to write from the inside?
Answer: Enter their world. Swim within it.
There is no shortcut to this need. You cannot write from the outside unless you are writing for newspaper. All that you are writing will be merely news.
There are three ways you can enter their world.
First, you need to venture inside. Do the things yourself. Get the first hand experience. Just need to remember that your time, like mine, is limited. We cannot do everything under the sun.
Example: If you are to write about home schooling, you need to become a tutor.
Second, get to know the person who is inside the dynamic. Write from his perspective. Acknowledge that he is the expert. He is the master of the industry. You need to know him inside out. He must be willing to expose enough information for you to write.
Example: If you want to write about becoming a pilot, you need to get to know a pilot. You need to know the dynamic of pilot’s life. Not only when he is in front of a cockpit.
Third, be the one that is affected directly by the issue. You are the one that is affected directly by the environment.
Example: If you are writing to urge the service provider to improve broadband service within certain area, you go to the area and feel the pain due to the poor broadband service.
In any cases of the above three situation, your persuasive writing comes with authority. Your writing will be precise because you are writing what is exactly in front of you.
Writing, by itself is a dynamic process. You need to accept the fact that it is very important to understand what connect one thing into another.
While the world is going into more and more separations and segregations, your ability to write to connect between the separating walls will eventually become your strength. That strength can easily be converted into persuasive writing.
