There are times when your writing ideas are not coming out at all. Your persuasive writing ideas turn turtle. You cannot write a single word. You want to start your writing but nothing comes up. Nothing at all.
Your world seems to be so dull. You cannot figure out anything interesting. You feel suicidal. Anything you intend to do stop halfway.
The next thing you do is to push ahead. You bulldoze your way ahead thinking that you will get your momentum along the way. Only to be upset by another stagnant.
Worry not.
It is nothing wrong with that.
Novice writers experience it. Experience writers also cannot escape this downfall.
It is perfectly normal to have that situation. Absolutely normal.
Question: How to deal with this situation?
Answer: Stop doing what you do. Stop writing!!!
No matter what effort you are trying to put in to get your momentum, nothing work. You need to respect your brain. You need to respect the limit of your brain.
Yes, your brain is the most powerful super computer. However, your brain, like any other things exist, has its limitation.
Your brain is powered by energy. No matter what is the source of the energy, there are times for it to running low. There are also times your energy running high.
What happen is, at that particular moment, your brain energy is running low. Probably due to exhaustive, low nutrient, low focus and many other possible reasons.
Whatever the reason is, all you need to do is “Stop”. Go for a break. Take a relaxing walk. Talk to people around you. Go for a ride. Drive to your favorite restaurant. Listen to your favorite song. Play with your children. Just forget about your persuasive writing task.
With energy running low, your writing ideas will not persuasive enough. That will lead to inferior products. Your credibility will be at stake.
It is wiser not to write anything at all than to produce inferior products.
Forget about the deadline. (After all it’s dead). Spoil your rigid planning once in a while. Be naughty. Make some blunders. Be yourself. Don’t push yourself into the wall. You’ll only end up hurting yourself.
To produce persuasive writing, your energy level must be high enough. However, when it is not as high as you need it, nothing much you can do to.
Warning: This situation only happens very rare. Probably once or twice a month. If it repeating frequently, say everyday, something is not going well. Reassess your situation seriously.
So, when you are stuck with your writing task, maybe your brain is telling you that you need a break.
